Burnout and Go-To-Whoa Rules & Regulations
Event Explanations
Go-To-Whoa
The object of this event is to accelerate from a standing start as quickly as possible and cover the
set distance in as quick a time as possible. You must then
bring your car to a stop on the finish line. Your time
stops when the front wheels are stationary on the finish
line. If you overshoot the line you must reverse back and
stop on the line to complete your run.
Burnout
The object is to produce as much smoke as
possible, with no hesitation, in your allocated time. The
time will be dependant on number of entries and will be
notified to all competitors at drivers briefing.
Event Rules
The supplementary rules and regulations are:

All competitors will wear long sleeve
shirts, long trousers and covered shoes
-
No thongs, shorts and T-shirts allowed
and no synthetic or nylon clothing to be worn

Seat belts must be warn and properly
adjusted during competition
-
Helmets must be warn
-
No competitor is to have any part of
their body protruding from the vehicle during
competition
-
All doors must have secure locking
mechanisms
-
The battery must be securely fastened
-
The fuel tank, if not original, is to be
of a professional construction standard or fuel cell
type and securely mounted
-
Scatter shields to be fitted to all
modified vehicles with manual transmissions
-
Bonnets and front mudguards must be
fitted
-
Vehicles must have no fluid leaks
(oil/water)
-
Tail shaft loops must be fitted
-
Radiator overflow bottle is recommended
-
All wheels must have all wheel nuts
fitted and secured
-
All wheel weights must be either removed
from drive wheels or taped
-
No dress rims or hubcaps to be fitted
-
Any competitor failing to keep within the
defined area will be automatically disqualified
-
Long static burnouts will result in a
loss of points
-
If blown tyres occur, drivers must stop
burnout – failure to comply will incur a loss of points
-
The maximum speed of vehicles in the pits
not to exceed 15km/h
-
Burnouts are not permitted anywhere
within the facility except for the competition area –
failure to comply will result in disqualification from
event
-
Passengers are not allowed in the
vehicles during competition (the promoters reserve the
right to allow VIP’s or promotional persons in vehicles
during competition)

Competitors are reminded that Alcohol and
Drug testing may occur and that the pits are a no
alcohol area - This includes the consumption of and any
person who has consumed alcohol outside of the pit area
- Competitors and buddy pass holders will be removed
from the venue in breach of this

Drivers must follow the requests of the
officials as they act on your behalf in the interest of
safety

The Pit area is a no smoking area –
designated smoking areas are allocated around the pit
area
-
All persons in the pit area must have
closed in footwear at all times
Event Details
The event is promoted by the Murray Bridge
Sporting Car Club and Motorcycle Club Inc. The venue
location is the Murray Bridge Speedway Complex on Kennett
Road, Murray Bridge. Times for the event are as follows:
Pit Gates Open: 1pm (close at
4:30pm)
Machine Examination: From 1pm
Spectator Gates Open: 4pm
First Competition Starts: 5pm
